World Junior Championships: Fond du Lac Blades Selected as Second Alternate.

Teams Elite and Skyliners Junior

Teams Elite and Skyliners junior have been selected as the two U.S. teams that will represent Team USA at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2025 set for March 7-8 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Both teams will be strong contenders for the podium and have previously medaled at the World Junior Championships. Skyliners junior and Teams Elite made history in 2022 when they won silver and bronze, respectively, marking the first time Team USA earned two medals in synchronized skating at a World Championships.

The 2025 Challenger Series champions at the junior level after clinching gold at both their Challenger Series events, Teams Elite was the only team to break 200 points at both their events in the series.

The reigning U.S. champions travel to Sweden as the favorite to win and hope to become first U.S. synchro team – at any level – to win gold at a World Championships.

Skyliners junior, the 2024 World Junior bronze medalists and five-time World Junior medalists, have medaled at every World Junior Championships they’ve competed at since 2018 (they missed 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the event was canceled in 2021). They have twice earned silver, the best result by a U.S. junior team.

This season, Skyliners junior have a pair of bronze medals from international events this season, including this past weekend at 2025 U.S. Synchronized Skating International Classic.

The Lexettes were named as the first alternate while Fond du Lac Blades were selected as the second alternate.
